R. keeps suggesting that I move to Utah. She and her husband are planning to build a house with lots of extra bedrooms. She has invited me to stay there with them while I look for a new job and my own place. "You're not very close to anyone in your family," she said on the phone today. "So I want you to be a part of mine." I have no intention of moving to Utah in the near future. But her words really made my day. Because I know she really means it. She knows the depths I've reached and wants to help me start anew. I adore her. I'm so glad I have a friend like her in this world.
